Actor Shia LaBeouf Publishes Independent Comics

Shia LaBeouf’s new comics might be at a Disney Channel reading level, but they’re certainly not safe for that audience’s age group. The actor, more recently of Transformers fame, has created three short graphic novels and a webcomic series through the publishing company, The Campaign Book. LaBeouf was also spotted selling and signing them last weekend at Chicago’s C2E2 comics convention.

LaBeouf’s works are slightly reminiscent of R. Crumb’s scraggly, jagged and often graphic work. The three books, Stale N Mate, Cyclical and Let’s Fucking Party, are all available in print and digital formats through The Campaign Book for $10 and $5 respectively. Additionally, the independent press has also published works by rapper Kid Cudi and goth rocker Marilyn Manson.
