Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst To Open a Bar in Omaha

Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst has made plans with fellow musician Phil Schaffart to open a cocktail lounge in their hometown of Omaha, Neb. Pageturners Lounge, named for the bookstore previously occupying the 5004 Dodge Street location, is set to open in the next several months.

Speaking to the Omaha World-Herald, Schaffart, frontman for the band Con Dios and member of Bright Eyes’ road crew, said the bar had no plans to feature live music, but would serve beer, wine and cocktails.

Oberst is currently set to perform at this year’s Newport Folk Festival at the end of July.
