Cannes Film Festival Announces 2012 Lineup

We already reported that Wes Anderson will open the 2012 Cannes Film Festival with Moonrise Kingdom and that Walter Salles’ interpretation of Kerouac’s On The Road will be there as well, but there’s still plenty more to be excited about.

Cannes is set to run from May 16-27 in Cannes, France, and includes appearances by the likes of Kristen Stewart, Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson, John Cusack, Nicole Kidman, Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf as well as directors Michael Bay, Kathryn Bigelow and David Yates.

This year marks the 65th Anniversary of the Film Festival.

On the list we’ve highlighted some of the films we’ve already covered, including David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, Lee Daniels The Paperboy, Andrew Dominik’s Killing Them Softly and John Hillcoat’s Lawless.
