Former Hole Drummer Patty Schemel Shares Intimate Cobain Family Video
Patty Schemel, former drummer for Hole, close family friend of the Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, and the woman Kurt originally wanted to be the drummer for Nirvana, is the subject of P. David Ebersole’s aptly named new documentary Hit So Hard.
The film is a moving depiction of Patty’s journey, the many losses she suffered along the way, and her eventual emergence on the other side of her troubles. Here she shows some intimate home video of Kurt and daughter Frances Bean and tells some old stories. The film is set for an April 13 release in New York, an April 20 release in Los Angeles, an April 27 release in San Francisco and an expanded release in May.
