Hopscotch Festival Announces 2012 Lineup

When Hopscotch Festival announced that the Mountain Goats’ John Darnielle would play a solo set of heavy metal covers, we could already predict that they’d land a great lineup this year.

Yesterday, the Raleigh, N.C. fest unveiled the rest of their roster, which includes headliners like The Roots and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Other top-billed artists include Built to Spill, Yo La Tengo, Liars, Sunn O))) and Zola Jesus, as well as a number of bands from Durham, N.C.’s Merge Records like Lambchop, Versus NYC and Wye Oak.

Hopscotch is set to take place Sept. 6-8 and tickets cost between $110 (regular three-day regular passes) and $169 (three-day VIP passes). Check out the fest website for ticketing information and the complete, 175-artist bill.
