Iowa’s 80/35 Festival Announces Headliners
The Avett Brothers, Death Cab For Cutie Get Top-Billing
The fifth annual 80/35 Festival in Des Moines, Iowa, released a partial lineup yesterday. Don’t be fooled by two headliners—The Avett Brothers and Death Cab For Cutie—though, the young fest isn’t necessarily pegged as a folk/indie event. Other performers will include Dinosaur Jr., Fucked Up and Dan Deacon and a complete lineup of almost 40 acts will be confirmed in May.
Named in honor of the two highways that intersect in Iowa’s capital, 80/35 will take place July 6-7 at Western Gateway Park. And unlike many other national fests, 80/35 is organized by a not-for-profit organization, the Greater Des Moines Music Coalition.
Advance two-day tickets for 80/35 are $49 and regular weekend passes cost $65. Check out the festival’s website for ticketing details and more information.
