Passion Pit Announces New Album Gossamer
It’s been three years since Passion Pit’s debut album Manners was released. Today, Columbia Records has announced the Cambridge, Mass. quintet are set to release sophomore album Gossamer on July 24.
“On Gossamer there is more of a dichotomy between the lyrics and the music. You hear my lyrics more precisely which is something I was ready for. The lyrics on this album have a lot to say about what the last two years of my life have been troubled with,” Michael Angelako explained in a press release.
Gossamer was recorded in Los Angeles and New York City last year and was produced by Chris Zane.
Passion Pit are set to hit the festival circuit this year in support of the forthcoming album. From SunFest, Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, Osheaga to Outside Lands, Passion Pit will also play two unique co-headling shows at Red Rocks on Aug. 7 and The Hollywood Bowl Sept. 9.
