This Week In News

This week was a big one for Beach Boys fans. Aside from announcing their new album, the band’s first reunited effort since 1995, the group also released a new track from the album titled “That’s Why God Made the Radio.”

In other album announcements, we heard about Passion Pit’s newest effort titled Gossamer, Jimmy Fallon’s first comedy album in a decade and Iggy Pop’s French cover album, Après.

In odder news, The Flaming Lips released a questionable Beach Boys cover for “God Only Knows” for a Mojo compilation, and we announced that Mark Ronson is collaborating with pop artist Bruno Mars.

In film news, the first images were released behind Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, and we got more details for Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph including the exciting news of popular videogame character cameos.
