U2’s Bono and The Edge Invest in Dropbox

Dropbox, a digital hosting and file-storage site, announced yesterday that two new big-name stars—Bono and The Edge from U2—will be joining its crew of investors. The company Tweeted:

@Dropbox is excited to welcome Bono & The Edge as investors. Thanks for the support and look forward to great things!

Additionally, the company posted a photo of the two stars with co-founders Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowski and with Ali and Hadi Partovi (the founders of the now-dissolved music sharing service iLike who were also early investors in Dropbox).

Rolling Stone also reported that other high profile names such as Goldman Sachs, Greylock Partners, Benchmark Capital, Institutional Venture Partners, RIT Capital Partners and Valiant Capital Partners have also invested in the company.
