Watch Alabama Shakes on the Late Show With David Letterman

Alabama Shakes played the Late Show With David Letterman on the host’s birthday yesterday. Just days after the official release date of their debut album, Boys & Girls, the Shakes gave a rousing performance of lead single, “Hold On.”

After the song, Letterman came over to thank and congratulate the band. Watch singer Brittany Howard’s expression as Letterman exclaims, “That’s a birthday present!”
