Americana Music Association Announces 2012 Award Nominees

The Americana Music Association announced today their 2012 award nominees in categories that include Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Emerging Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Instrumentalist of the Year.

The nominees were announced by John C. Reilly in an event held at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theatre in Los Angeles, which also featured performances from Lucinda Williams and Shelby Lynne.

The announcements are in anticipation of the Americana Honors and Awards program, which is set to take place at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. on Sept. 12. The ceremony is the capstone event of the Americana Music Festival and Conference, which takes place on Sept. 12-15.
