Anthony Hopkins and Andy Garcia to Star In Hemingway & Fuentes
Anthony Hopkins recently revealed an in-character photograph of his recent role as Alfred Hitchcock (view the uncanny resemblance here) for Sacha Gervasi’s forthcoming Hitchcock biopic Hitchcock. Today, Deadline announced the actor’s newest effort and partnership.
Hopkins and Annette Bening are set to star in a new Andy Garcia flick, co-written by Hilary Hemingway, niece of Ernest Hemingway, for a passion project titled Hemingway & Fuentes.
The script chronicles the well-known The Old Man and the Sea real-life relationship between Hemingway (Hopkins) and his Cuban-fishing boat captain (Garcia). Mary Welsh Hemingway, fourth wife of Ernest, will be played by Bening.
The film will be produced by Garcia’s CineSon production company in association with Edward Walson’s Sunrider Productions. Sunrider will also be financing the film which is set to begin filming in January 2013.
