Community Creator’s Animated Series Picked Up by Adult Swim

There’s still no word on whether Community creator Dan Harmon will be returning to his baby next season, but it looks like fans have something to cheer about. According to Vulture, Adult Swim has picked up Harmon’s co-created show, Rick & Morty. It’s one of seven new pilots chosen to air on the network. Rick & Morty follows a genius inventor and his duffer of a grandson and their various misadventures.

As for Community, Harmon originally only signed a one-year deal after last year’s spring renewal. According to co-producer Bob Greenblatt, the show must go on, even without its showrunner. Certainly a scary thought, but not necessarily a total disaster.
