Delicate Steve Releases New Tracks at 10 N.Y. Locations

Delicate Steve, also known as New Jersey songwriter Steve Marion, is set to release his second full length album, Positive Force, on July 10. Like the 2011 debut, Wondervisions, Delicate Steve’s sophomore album will be released on David Byrne’s Luaka Bop Records.

Although Positive Force will not be released until July, you can listen to all 10 of the album’s tracks right now—All you need is a map of New York and a lot of time to kill.

Luaka Bop has partnered with the WWMTH Creative Lab to scatter “public listening installations” across Brooklyn and Manhattan. At each of the 10 stations, you can plug in a pair of headphones and hear a track off Delicate Steve’s upcoming release.

The installations will only be in place from May 31-June 3, so plan your audio scavenger hunt accordingly. Positive Force Installation Locations:

EAST RIVER PROMENADE
Address: East River Promenade on East 10th street.
Button Location: FDR Pedestrian Overpass on 10th street and then walk straight towards the water. Button lives on the first bench on the left.

CREATIVE LITTLE GARDEN
Address: 6th street between Avenues A & B
Button Location: The button will be attached to the swinging iron bench in front of the yellow, ivy-covered wall fixture.
Hours: Roughly 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

PROSPECT PARK
Address: Prospect Park, Brooklyn (near Propect Park stop on B,Q,S)
Button location: Nethermead Arches, the bridge by The Boathouse
Hours: 5 a.m. – 1 a.m.

N 6th STREET/NORTH WILLIAMSBURG FERRY STOP
Address: North 5th Street & Kent Avenue
Button location: At the end of the pier, straight down from North 5th Street.
Hours: 9 a.m. – dusk

WILLIAMSBURG BRIDGE
Address: Williamsburg Bridge, Manhattan NY
Button location: Coming from Manhattan, at the end of the walkway where the walk and bike paths split to each side.
Hours: 24/7

GRAND FERRY PARK
Address: Grand Street at River Street, Brooklyn
Button location: On the bench furthest south closest to the water
Hours: 24/7

VALENTINO PIER
Ferris St. between Coffey St. and Van Dyke St. Red Hook Brooklyn
Button Location: Two thirds of the way down the pier on the left hand side the button is anchored on the top of a railing.
Hours: 24/7
