E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial to Get 30th Anniversary Release

It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial hit the box office, unless you remember how young Drew Barrymore was in it—then it sounds about right. For the classic movie’s anniversary, the film will be remastered and released on Blu-ray on Oct. 20.

Steven Spielberg’s 1982 film will also be available in a combo pack, which will include a Blu-Ray, a DVD and a digital copy. The package will include an exclusive interview with Spielberg and never-before-seen footage.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial remains one of the most-successful movies of all time in the U.S. It’s anniversary happens to also mark the 100th anniversary for the movie’s distributor,
Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
