Gary Oldman to Join Cast of RoboCop Remake

Award-winning actor Gary Oldman has been confirmed for the latest RoboCop reboot. According to Vulture, Oldman is set to play Norton, the troubled scientist who resurrects RoboCop in all his titanium glory. The film is a modern remake of the ’80s classic.

Oldman recently starred in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and will resume his role as Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming conclusion to The Dark Knight trilogy. In the upcoming RoboCop remake, Oldman is expected to star alongside Joel Kinnaman, who plays RoboCop himself. The film is slated to be released sometime in 2013.
