Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Green Day to Headline Voodoo Music 2012
For its 14th annual event, Voodoo Music and Arts Experience will host Neil Young and Crazy Horse, and Green Day as headlining acts. This year’s festival is scheduled to take place Oct. 26-28 in New Orleans.
Other confirmed performers include Skrillex, Justice, Tomahawk, Say Anything, Bootsy Collins, Gary Clark Jr. and Preservation Hall Jazz Band and a press release stated that the fest’s full line-up of 150 acts will be announced in the coming months.
“I believe this year’s line-up is developing into something really special," said Stephen Rehage, the event’s founder and producer. "Green Day’s set in 2004 is one of the greatest performances in the festival’s 13-year history. Having them choose to do their only U.S. show of 2012 at Voodoo is pretty extraordinary. And the confirmation of Neil Young & Crazy Horse is epic. They are one of a handful of artists that you hope to have the privilege to work with at some point in your career. It’s what you dream of when you create something like Voodoo.”
Voodoo’s other big announcement was the addition of a festival campground. For the first time ever, attendees can stay in historic City Park, located near the Voodoo’s main entrance. Camping options range from basic amenities to VIP options.
Tickets for Voodoo Music and Arts Experience now cost $175 for three-day general admission tickets, $500 for LOA Lounge VIP passes and $550 for LOA Lounge VIP passes with parking. Visit the fest’s official site. for ticketing options and additional information.
