Julianne Moore Confirmed for Carrie Remake

Award winning actress Julianne Moore is set to join the cast of the highly anticipated Carrie remake. Moore, 51, steps into the role of Margaret White: Carrie’s totally bonkers, tyrannical nightmare of a mother.

Moore joins Kick-Ass star Chloë Grace Moretz, who will play the movie’s lead and tragically misunderstood Carrie. Moretz recently described the film “darker and much more psychological,” to The Sun, calling it akin to 2010’s Black Swan.

The remake of Stephen King’s classic horror story is expected to hit theaters March 15, 2013.
