Matthew Dear Announces New Album Beams

Matthew Dear has announced that he will release his next album, Beams, on Aug. 27 through Ghostly International. The title track from his recent EP Headcage will appear on the album.

This will be the conceptual electronic musician’s fourth album released through Ghostly, and sixth album total following the release of Black City in 2010. On the Ghostly site, Dear said about the album, “I’m about 4 to 5 different people at any given time. By allowing all of those different personalities to exist… the most pure and direct self can come through in the music.”
