My Bloody Valentine Announce Japanese Tour Dates For 2013
Time Out Tokyo has reported that My Bloody Valentine will be playing three dates in Japan in February of 2013. The shows will mark the band’s first extended stop in Japan in nearly two decades.
Many Americans associate My Bloody Valentine’s signature ambient wall-of-sound with the streets of Tokyo, as group frontman Kevin Shields composed the soundtrack to the 2003 film Lost In Translation, in which the city of Tokyo played a central role.
The announcement of upcoming tour dates can only give us hope that a third full-length album, and first since their 1991 classic Loveless, might still be on the way.
