NBC Renews The Office, Parks and Recreation, Up All Night

Good news for fans of NBC’s Thursday night comedy lineup: veteran comedies The Office and Parks and Recreation, and newcomer Up All Night have been picked up for next season.

The shows—entering their eighth, fifth and second seasons, respectively— join Paste favorites Community and 30 Rock, which were both recently picked up for half-season sendoffs. There is no word yet on whether Parks and Rec will get a full order.

Despite the loss of longtime showrunner Paul Lieberstein and Steve Carell’s Michael Scott, The Office continues to maintain strong ratings, securing its eighth season. Series regulars John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and Ed Helms are all expected to return.

Some NBC shows weren’t as fortunate. According to TV Guide, four series in their first seasons were cancelled: Are You There, Chelsea?, Awake, Bent and Best Friends Forever.
