Sigur Rós to Headline Iceland Airwaves Festival
Sigur Rós has added a hometown show to their list of scheduled appearances at festivals this summer, which includes stops at Lollapalooza, Osheaga and Outside Lands.
From Oct. 31-Nov. 4, Iceland will hold its annual Iceland Airwaves Festival. It has been 11 years since Sigur Rós has performed at the festival and the event will be the first in their hometown since 2008.
The band is scheduled to close the festival with a performance at the new Laugardalshöll Arena on Nov. 4. The set is expected to feature an expanded 11-piece line-up and material from their entire catalog including tracks from their forthcoming sixth studio album Valtari.
Tickets for the festival go on sale May 16 at noon GMT here.
