Stream the Remastered Version of David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, EMI will be releasing a remastered version of the classic album on June 5, and all 11 remastered tracks were recently made available to stream.
The album, which was remastered at the same studio where it was originally recorded in 1972, will be available on CD and limited edition 180-gram vinyl. If you decide to spring for the vinyl, you will also receive a DVD that will include previously unreleased mixes of some of the album’s tracks, including an instrumental version of “Moonage Daydream.”
The iconic album experienced a surge in popularity following the release of Wes Anderson’s film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou in 2004, which featured Brazilian musician Seu Jorge playing acoustic covers of the album’s songs.
