Atlus’ quirky, JRPG fan-favorite Persona 3 will be getting movie attention, says Anime News Network. The site confirmed the adaptation, citing the ending of Persona 4: The Animation as proof. According to the site, the film ends with a shot of Persona 3’s protagonist and a note saying that the theatrical film version has been green-lit. It’s still unknown whether the film will appear in live action or anime.
Persona 3 follows a group of young high school students who evoke “Personas,” powerful creatures that help them fight night-roaming monsters.
Persona 3 originally launched on the PlayStation 2 in 2007. It has since been re-released on the PSN.
