Bored to Death Movie Could Be in the Works

Vulture recently reported that Ted Danson told a journalist in France that there is a “good chance” that the cancelled HBO comedy Bored to Death will be made into a movie.

The show—which starred Danson, Zach Galifianakis and Jason Schwartzman as a writer-turned-Craigslist private detective—amassed a large cult following, but was never able to catch on with a mass audience during its three-season run.

The potential Bored to Death film Danson hinted at would likely be a 90-minute HBO TV movie. When asked for comment, HBO admitted that there have been “conversations” about a possible movie, but that talks are still in the “early stages.”
