Jeff Daniels Won't Do Dumb and Dumber Sequel Without Jim Carrey

We reported earlier this week that Jim Carrey bowed out of a Dumb and Dumber sequel, and Jeff Daniels won’t appear onscreen without his dopey costar.

According to Access Hollywood, Daniels said of the sequel, “I don’t think there’s a Dumb and Dumber 2 if Jim Carrey doesn’t do it…As we stand here today, it’s not happening.”

And though Daniels went on to explain his disappointment, the real lure of a sequel was pulling the two actors back together onscreen. Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey. They ride together, they die together. Bad boys for li—oh, wait. Wrong movie.
