Kanye West's Cruel Summer Set For August Release

Kanye West wouldn’t be Kanye West without delivering a little controversy or bizarre news to the music media world. But first and foremost, in legitimate news, it was announced that West’s G.O.O.D. Music project, Cruel Summer, will be released on Aug. 7, featuring artists like John Legend, Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Mos Def and the recently released track “Mercy.”

As far as the bizarre part, according to The Sun, a person close to West said: “He’s become so obsessed with roars, barks and jungle noises that he’s experimenting with putting them on a recording. Kanye’s telling mates this is his next ingenious plan.”

Could be an interesting album. Why not have animals collaborate to diversify the vocals? There’s gotta be some real talent out there — maybe a dog with perfect pitch.
