Listen to a Song by Thurston Moore's New Band

In addition to working on a collaborative album with Yoko Ono and Sonic Youth bandmate Kim Gordon, Thurston Moore is busy recording a full-length record with his new band, Chelsea Light Moving. The group is comprised of Moore, guitarist Keith Wood, bassist Samara Lubelski and drummer John Moloney.

The band’s forthcoming debut album will be released on Matador Records, and you can listen to a track on the label’s blog. The song is called “Burroughs,” and is inspired by beat icon William S. Burroughs. As you might have guessed, this means the lyrics probably revolve around drug use.
