My Morning Jacket Announces West Coast Tour Dates

My Morning Jacket announced seven West Coast tour dates for September, following their European and national summer tour that kicks off on June 16.

The upcoming dates will be part of the band’s “Spontaneous Curation Series,” which will let concert-goers help decide each set via Twitter. Fans with be able to request songs off of any of My Morning Jacket’s studio albums.

The band said of the Series in a press release, “Curating spontaneously is best achieved by communication within a community because otherwise, curating in a vacuum can lead one to spontaneously combust. However, a spontaneously curated show is the best way to achieve collective musical combustion. Concurrectly, we are crazed with excitement to see how Roll Call and concert goers spontaneously contribute to our eclectic collective curation!”

Throughout the three-month tour, they will be joined by Band of Horses, Trampled By Turtles, and Iron and Wine at different points. Check out the entire tour schedule below.
