New Nintendo 3DS XL Coming in August

The Nintendo DS screen is getting a sizeable upgrade—90 percent, to be exact. Nintendo revealed their latest handheld upgrade, which features larger screens and an overall size boost.

According to Game Informer, the top display screen measures at 4.88 inches, while the lower screen is 4.18 inches. In addition to a screen upgrade, the new memory card has been updated to 4GB.

You can pick up the 3DS XL in red/black or blue/black for $199.99 when it hits North American shelves on Aug. 19. Check out the image below for a comparison of the old 3DS and the new.
