Rise of the Planet of the Apes Writers Expected for Jurassic Park IV

Over the past decade, Jurassic Park IV remained an illusive idea filled with half-supported rumors. But a recent move by Universal shows that the long-awaited fourth film is likely to happen. Deadline reports that the film studio will set husband-and-wife writer duo Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, recently successful with the simian sci-fi prequel Rise of the Planet of the Apes, to write the screenplay for the dino franchise.

Last year, director Joe Jackson, who helmed Jurassic Park III, told Screen Rant that the new film would draw from the the original trilogy but would largely be a separate plot line in hopes to reboot the franchise. He also mentioned that the island was unlikely to be the setting stating, “Why would anybody go back to that island?”
