Universal to Release The Kinks at the BBC Box Set

Universal has put together an immense box set of the Kinks’ BBC archives, featuring live recordings, BBC session and previously unreleased material.

Out Aug. 13, The Kinks at the BBC will be available as a 2xCD best-of set or a five CD plus DVD box set, with the DVD including footage from the Kinks shows on “The Old Grey Whistle Test,” “Top of the Pops” and “In Concerts.”

According to the press release, “The Kinks at the BBC has been assembled by trawling the BBC archives, but also by inviting contributions from fans who helped dust off rogue broadcasts which may have fallen by the wayside.”
