Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros brought the house down with “That’s What’s Up” and “Man on Fire” on Kimmel last night while promoting their second album, Here, which came out May 29.
Lead vocalists Alex Ebert and Jade Castrinos walked hand-in-hand around the stage for much of “That’s What’s Up,” with Ebert handing the microphone to a fan in the audience to hold while Castrinos sang the bridge of the song.
Ebert even went out into the crowd during “Man on Fire” to exchange giddy smiles and wave at the smartphones surrounding him before hopping up and down while singing. He also balanced precariously on top of the audience barricades as he exited the pit.
The 10 member-strong group (sometimes more) just wrapped up a U.S. tour and are set to embark on several European dates beginning in July.
