A Third Hobbit Movie is in Talks
Rejoice, Tolkien fans. In case two Hobbit movies weren’t enough, audiences might be in for a third. According to the Los Angeles Times, New Line Cinema, Warner Bros.’ movie production unit, is in talks with the actors and other key players about a third film.
Jackson has apparently decided that there is enough material in The Hobbit, as well as the appendixes from The Lord of the Rings to create a third entry. But material doesn’t guarantee a new trilogy; deals must be made with rights-holders and actors.
Part one of The Hobbit, An Unexpected Journey, is currently scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 14 of this year.
