A.C. Newman Announces Third Solo Album and Fall Tour

A.C. Newman, a founding member of The New Pornographers, has completed his third solo album. The Canadian musician and songwriter received critical acclaim for his previous two records, 2004’s The Slow Wonder and 2009’s Get Guilty. This next record, currently unnamed, is set for release this fall through Matador Records in the U.S. and Last Gang Records in Canada.

Newman is also slated to promote the record on a North American fall tour, starting Oct. 21. Matablog announced pre-sale tickets for the tour will be available through etix starting tomorrow, and the general sale will begin this July 27.
