Austin City Limits Might Add Second Weekend in 2013

Following the success of Coachella’s additional weekend of 2012 performances, Austin City Limits is considering adding a second weekend of their own in 2013. Responding to increased ticket demand, C3 Presents, which promotes the festival, is in talks with the City of Austin to expand the festival, according to The Statesman.

If the city allows a second weekend, C3 Presents would use a portion of the proceeds to fund security, cleanup and to help improve Austin parks. The Austin City Council is currently mulling over the proposal and a decision is imminent.

This year’s Austin City Limits Festival will run from Oct. 12-14 and feature artists such as Neil Young and Crazy Horse, The Black Keys, Jack White, The Avett Brothers, Florence + The Machine and many more. For a complete lineup, click here.
