Ben Gibbard to Release Solo Album
Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard announced today that he will take on a decidedly more formal name—Benjamin Gibbard—as a moniker for his first full-length solo LP, Former Lives.
The LP will contain 12 previously unreleased tracks written over the course of Gibbard’s lengthy career, including re-tooled versions of live songs. Former Lives will feature Aimee Mann, Jon Wurster and Mark Spencer.
The LP is set for release sometime this fall, though no word yet on a specific date.
