Conan O'Brien To Produce New Late-Night Show

Very soon, Team Coco may have a new funnyman to tune into after Conan’s late-night spot. According to Vulture, TBS is working on a similar talk show, produced under Conan O’Brien’s Conaco banner, that could serve as a companion series to the after-hours favorite.

The project would be hosted by comedian and comedy writer Pete Holmes, who is known for his goofy humor as well as hilarious voice of the e*trade baby. Holmes is no stranger to the title of host. His podcast “You Made It Weird” is a popular staple on Nerdist and has had many big-name guest stars, including Judd Apatow, Demetri Martin, Sarah Silverman and Doug Benson. He also released his first comedy album Impregnated With Wonder in 2011.

The series will begin filming in mid-August, but unlike Conan’s hour-long spot, this show will only be a half hour. No word yet on when TBS will make its final decision.
