Freelance Whales Announce Sophomore LP, Release Track

Brooklyn electro indie outfit Freelance Whales have announced that their second full-length album, Diluvia, will be released on Oct. 9 through Mom+Pop Music/Frenchkiss Records.

The LP will follow 2010’s debut Weathervanes. Diluvia was recorded over a two-month span in New York City with producer Shane Stoneback (Vampire Weekend, Cults, Sleigh Bells) and will explore “finding the confluence between science and emotion.”

No word on how many tracks will be on the LP, but you can stream both the song “Locked Out” and an album trailer depicting the aesthetics and feel of Diluvia below. The song is available for free download at the band’s website, where you can also view the video.
