Grant Morrison To Leave Superhero Comics, Releases Chapter One of Dinosaurs Vs. Aliens

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Grant Morrison announced that he will soon be leaving superhero comics in order to pursue other interests.

The long-time comic writer spoke with CBR, stating: “The idea was always that I’d keep doing [superhero comics] as long as it gave me a lot of pleasure and allowed me to express myself. And it still does, but I can see the end coming close… The Action Comics run concludes with issue #16, Batman Incorporated wraps up my take with issue #12, and after that I don’t have any plans for monthly superhero books for a while.”

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Morrison will leave supes permanently. Morrison will still keep busy with the a new Image crime title Happy with artist Darick Robertson (Transmetropolitan, The Boys).

In other Morrison-related news, Liquid Comics has recently released the first chapter of Morrison and Barry Sonnenfeld’s motion comic, Dinosaurs vs. Aliens. You can watch this Jurassic, sci-fi smack down below.
