Converse to Release M83-Themed Sneakers

Following Bon Iver, Animal Collective and Gorillaz, M83’s Anthony Gonzalez is the latest indie star to get his own custom pair of sneakers, which you can check out to the right.

In conjunction with the shoe, Converse has also created a contest where fans can submit original poster designs that have been inspired by 2011’s Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, whether they are drawings, paintings or photographs.

Three winners will receive a pair of M83 sneakers and have their design featured on limited-edition band posters. A hundred of each of these designs will be sold at M83’s Aug. 8 Central Park SummerStage show in Manhattan. Check out a trailer for the contest below and see full details on the Converse website.
