Men in Black III's Etan Cohen to Write Ghostbusters III Script

When pesky poltergeists haunt your domicile, the people you need to call doesn’t need repeating. But when it comes to reviving an old franchise, it looks like the Ghostbusters call Etan Cohen. Cohen’s writing credits include Idiocracy, Tropic Thunder and the recently released Men in Black III so his résumé for the delightfully campy and hilarious is pretty impressive.

It’s been 23 years since Ghostbusters II and the new film has been plagued with rumors and failed scripts, so it’s hard to discern exactly what is happening. Another concern for the fledgling project is securing all the actors for a third film, which right now is a problem with Bill Murray showing little to no interest.

It’s not exactly known what has Bill Murray flipping back in forth, whether it’s over money or having the clairvoyance to see that these cinematic reunions rarely work out. Time will tell.
