Niecy Nash, David Walton Join New Girl

Scoot over, Zooey, you’ve got company. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox’s New Girl will feature Reno 911!’s Niecy Nash as a purse snatching prostitute (presumably without a heart of gold). Nash joins actor David Walton as one of the show’s newcomers, but Entertainment Weekly reports that Walton will have a more substantial role.

Walton, most recently seen in a starring role on NBC’s Bent, is set to play a love interest for Jess (Zooey Deschanel) after his character mistakes her for someone else.

New Girl is expected to return to Fox on Sept. 25.
