RZA Set to Produce and Direct Series of Comic Book Movies

RZA has been somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades since his days at the helm of the Wu-Tang Clan. He has been particularly involved in film, acting in several and composing the score for Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill. On Nov. 2, Universal is set to release RZA’s directorial debut in The Man with the Iron Fists, which will star Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu and the RZA himself.

Now, Deadline has reported that RZA and Django Unchained producer Reginald Hudlin have reached an agreement to produce a series of comic-related projects, which they would co-produce and direct, and could possibly form their own company. None of the potential projects have been named, but at least one could be superhero-themed, as Hudlin wrote The Black Panther series for Marvel from 2005-2008, and interest has been expressed in adapting it for the big screen.
