Snoop Dogg Banned From Norway for Two Years Following Marijuana Possession Charges

Snoop Dogg has been banned from Norway for two years, the Associated Press reported, following a not-so-surprising marijuana-related offense last month.

He had attempted to enter the country with a small amount in his possession, as well as more cash than was legally permitted. Drug-sniffing dogs detected the eight grams of marijuana when Snoop Dogg arrived to perform at the Hoverfestival in Arendal, Norway on June 28.

A lawyer representing Snoop Dogg told the AP that the rapper is not currently planning to appeal the charges, which resulted in a 52,000 kroner fine ($8,600). The lawyer said his client “can live with the decision.”
