Super Troopers Expected To Receive Sequel Treatment

In the mid-to-late aughts, you’d be hard-pressed to not find a copy of Super Troopers strewn about the belongings of an average American college student. Easily Broken Lizard’s most popular film, Super Troopers was filled with memorable one-liners and hilarious exploits of the ragtag band of Vermont state troopers as they strive to “out-cop” the local police force.

In an interview concerning Jay Chandraskehar and Kevin Heffernan’s latest film, The Babymakers, Coming Soon stumbled upon the topic of the Super Troopers sequel: “We’re hoping to make Super Troopers 2 as a group if we can work out a legal situation with Fox Searchlight.” Chandraskehar said. “They like it.”

It’s been over a decade since the the original Super Troopers and rumors of a sequel have been circling for many years. But evidence suggests that those rumors are about to be put into motion.
