Danish duo The Raveonettes are set to release a new full-length album, Observator, on Sept. 11. It will be the band’s seventh studio LP and fourth on Vice Records, following last year’s Raven in the Grave.
The Raveonettes have become known for their desolate, reverberating tone and the smooth-sounding vocals of frontpeople Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo. If Observator’s lead single, “She Owns the Streets,” is any indication, the band won’t be veering too far from what we’ve come to expect from their sound.
You can check out the song’s video below. Directed by Peter Kaaden, it is comprised of VHS-quality footage of a woman dancing through city streets, just as the song’s lyrics would indicate. Wanger and Foo make a few cameos as observers, or, dare we say, observators.
