Wizards of the Coast to Re-Release Original Dungeons & Dragons Books

Break out the multi-sided dice and grid mats. Last week, Wizards of the Coast released a limited edition run of Gary Gygax original Dungeons & Dragons core books, the Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide and Monster Manual. The reissue is page-for-page the same as the 1974 edition, but now sports a new cover.

In addition to this faithful reprint, every book purchased from the limited release will help support the Gygax Memorial Fund, which honors the late founder of the popular role playing game. The fund has plans to create a statue in remembrance of the “Father of Roleplaying” in Lake Geneva, Wis.

The prices range from $34.99 to $44.99, and the three books are currently available at local retailers, which can be found here.
