World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Set for September Release

World of Warcraft’s panda-filled expansion finally has a release date, along with details on the collector’s edition. Blizzard announced that the game’s fourth expansion is out for digital download and physical purchase on Sept. 25. Pre-sales are now open.

In addition to raising the game’s level cap from 85 to 90, Mists of Pandaria will also add a new race, the Pandaren, as well as their homeland of Pandaria. The Pandaren also mark the arrival of a new “monk” class.

The game’s normal expansion will cost $39.99. Players interested in the digital deluxe edition, which can only be purchased online, should be ready to fork over $59.99. The deluxe edition includes an in-game mount, in-game pet, battle.net portraits and a Diablo 3 banner sigil and accent.

If that’s not good enough, the collector’s edition, available only through retailers, will sell for $79.99. The collector’s edition includes a behind-the-scenes DVD and Blu-Ray, a Mists of Pandaria soundtrack, artbook and Chen Stormstout mouse pad—along with everything in the Digital Deluxe edition, of course.
