Watch out Thor, there is a new dark elf in town and he is looking for you. According to Variety, Marvel studios has cast Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje to play Kurse, the dark elf after Thor, in the upcoming Thor: The Dark World.

Our favorite Norse god is going to have his work cut out for him when he battles Kurse. In the comic book, Kurse started off as Algrim the Strong, the most powerful Dark Elf. After being betrayed and hurt in battle Algrim becomes Kurse, a dark elf who is twice as strong as Thor.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje is no stranger to high action movies with credits that include The Mummy Returns and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje joins the cast of returning actors including Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Jaimie Alexander, Stellan Skarsgard, Rene Russo and Kat Dennings.

Thor: The Dark World is shooting in London and is set to be released Nov. 8.
